Dear NACM Members
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
As the leaves begin to change and a new season unfolds, we are reminded of the steadfastness of God’s promises and the continuing mission of His Church. September is a time for reflection and renewed vision. It is a season to consider the spiritual harvest before us and the calling we share to make disciples wherever God has placed us.
Let us continue to sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts. Let us also be ready at all times to give an answer for the hope within us, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
In an age of confusion, noise, and countless voices competing for our attention, the words of Jesus cut through with clarity. He does not offer a way among many. He declares Himself the way, the truth, and the life. The world hungers for direction, truth, and lasting hope. Yet only Christ provides the door that leads to life abundant and eternal. Today more than ever, people need to know that while thieves and false paths promise much and deliver destruction, Jesus alone opens the way to salvation, peace, and purpose.
Jesus said to him, “I am the <–> way, and the <–> truth, and the <–> life. No one comes to the Father except through <–> me.” (John 14:6)
So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the <–> door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the <–> door. If anyone enters by <–> me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I <–> came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:7-10)
The words of Jesus remind us that salvation is not a system, a philosophy, or a human achievement. It is a gift that flows from His very heart. When He calls Himself the way, the truth, the life, and the door of the sheep, He points us not only to His authority but also to His mercy. Every promise of eternal life rests on His grace.
The grace of God is a profound mystery. Not because it is hidden, but because it is so vividly clear that human language struggles to contain it. We feel it in moments of forgiveness, in the quiet restoration of our hearts, or in the peace that passes understanding. Yet when we try to explain it, our words falter. Grace gives when there is no merit. It restores when justice might call for retribution. It embraces where shame would normally push away. This contradiction is what makes it so mysterious. The perfectly holy God lavishes undeserved love on sinners. As Jesus described the wind in John 3:8, grace moves where it pleases, unseen but undeniably real.
This mystery becomes even more staggering when we understand that grace is not earned by effort, but flows from God’s very nature. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it clear that grace is a gift, not a reward. It is divine initiative reaching into human need. We can feel grace when we are most broken and yet still held by God. But trying to define it fully is like describing a melody to someone who has never heard sound. Paul spoke of the gospel of grace as a mystery hidden for ages in Colossians 1:26. Even though it has been revealed, it still humbles us. Grace is not a concept to master, but a truth to receive with awe.
