Vision
The vision of this project is to provide a quick reference work covering a vast range of topics for New Ministers as well as refreshers for Seasoned Ministers and Theologians.
Continual Updates
This site is generally updated daily, but during busy times of ministry 3 times a week at the typical least. This means that we contribute, at the very least, 3 new articles to the manual weekly.
Audience
The content herein is written primarily for the ministers of the National Association of Christian Ministers. Its focus is for Ministers Organizing and Leading in Ministry.
Purpose
The purpose of this Manual to Ministry is as follows:
To provide a summary of information about a multitude of topics ranging from: How To in Ministry, Theology, the Bible, and Organizational Leadership. The word “summary” is emphasized here. The majority of articles are written as summaries of topics. Keeping this in mind is the best way to set the expectations, limitations, tone, and understanding of the content herein.

The Need for 21st Century Focused Ministry Training
The world is quickly changing. The need for church leadership training is greater now than ever before. Pastors are experiencing burnout at alarming rates. For many, balancing home lives, church politics, a second job and their personal faith becomes overwhelming. Not to mention the expectations of hospital visitations, weekly sermon planning, and campaigns for church growth. It is not difficult to see how pastors can struggle with anxiety, depression, and frustration more than the average people who are looking to them for comfort and counsel. Christian leaders are quickly realizing the need to develop additional skills for effective ministry in the 21st century. If you are interested in revamping your skills, and knowledge base, the Lord has led you to the right place.
Online Church Leadership Training
We believe effective ministry training is fostered by:

This is our purpose at the National Association of Christian Ministers -it’s our passion!
We offer church leadership training that truly qualifies ministers as students of the Word, approved unto God for the work of the ministry (2 Tim. 2:15). Our courses are developed by prayer, attention to Godly wisdom, and leaders with concrete experience in the field. Further, our confidence is in God alone to use the Holy Spirit to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) needed to be good stewards of the power of God. Towards this end, we offer theological and practical ministry growth opportunities, like our Mentoring Program and Leadership Hall. We take an innovative approach for developing practical ministry skills that relate to the challenges faced in ministry today: utilizing peer-to-peer interactive groups, inductive “self-discovery” style exercises, and personal guidance from seasoned, proven, mature ministers. We believe the needs today call for “ministry practitioners” who are equipped with very practical ministry skills that connect with the everyday, real issues people are facing.

The Good news is that people can change, and if they do, the whole world will change for them! They will begin to experience new relationships and opportunities that they have never before known. The trick is in the concept that they will stop trying to change others and begin focusing on themselves. We suspect that many would gladly take this step if they only knew how. We are pleased to offer this knowledge to those who are accepted into our Leadership Development Program.
Curriculum
Course curriculum is written by Michael Mooney, NACM President. He holds a Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Organizational Psychology, and a Bachelors of Religion. His Alma Mater is Liberty University. He has been in ministry 25+ years serving as an evangelist, pastor, ministry administrator, course developer, wedding officiant, webmaster, and founder of NACM.
Impact
This is the oldest course offered by NACM. It was launched in 2010 and still continues today as the preliminary retirement of all our Elders.

Official Chaplain Training and Licensing of the NACM
The NACM Christian Chaplaincy Course is a thorough, practically equipping, inspiring and confirming preparation to be an effective volunteer or community chaplain (nursing home; jail; hospital volunteer; disaster; street; etc.). It is also excellent training for any Christian or Christian minister, chaplain or not, who is led to minister to hurting people, whatever the cause or crisis. As well, the NACM requires completion of the NACM Christian Chaplaincy course in order to obtain NACM chaplain licensing (which is renewable annually). Course developed and instructed by Rodger Niemeier, Exec. Elder. He serves as the Vice President of the NACM. He holds a Master’s in Divinity, and 40+ years of church planting, social work, and ministry.

SoulCare 101: Ministering To Unsaintly Saints
Effectively responding to the difficult behaviors of those you minister to in order to help them truly transform in Christ.
Christians aren’t perfect! It doesn’t take long into church involvement to discover that to be all too true! Too often though, Christians, even ministers, excuse it as “just how people are” and just tolerate each other. But that’s certainly not our heavenly Father’s will for us! He is intent on moving us towards becoming more and more like His Son, our Savior, Jesus! As Christian ministers in some form of leadership (pastors, teachers, elders, etc.), we are “called” to facilitate real transformation in God’s Children. Often, we don’t know how.
This unique training will equip you with biblical & Christ-like insights and practical techniques to turn those difficult behaviors into opportunities for real transformational ministry! People – even “Saints” in Christ – with difficult behaviors didn’t get that way overnight…and they need help – Christ’s help through you! They need someone who can look beyond their faults, and see…and minister effectively to…their underlying, root needs that drive those difficult behaviors and help them face, address and overcome them.

SoulCare 102: Helping People Address & Resolve Underlying Root Issues
As the sequel to Soulcare 101: Ministering To Unsaintly Saints, this SoulCare 102 course starts where the former left off, and equips the minister to effectively guide a person through the 7-Step biblical process of recovery from an identified root issue (that drives their difficult behaviors, as learned in SoulCare 101).
Learn how to effectively coach a person (a Christian, but applicable to helping non-Christians, too) to identify, address & resolve those underlying first-cause, root issues and gain and keep the victory in Christ! This is a 7 STEP biblical process that Jesus, The Healer of the Brokenhearted, modeled, and you can become proficient in ministering this same way as well!
